Abbotswood Drive Bathroom Renovations

Private Residence, Charlotte, NC

Both bathrooms in this 1970's ranch home were suffering from outdated plumbing fixtures, lighting, and cabinetry.  Water damage in the joists spanning both bathrooms meant a complete overhaul was in order.  The luxurious new Master Bath features an expanded glass-enclosed shower with oversized recessed marble shampoo niches, a floating modern vanity, hard-wired towel warmer, water-saving toilet, and european spa shower fixtures. An awkward vanity area and dividing wall was removed and reworked into a linen closet, improving storage and visually expanding the space.  Inexpensive subway tile and gorgeous marble mosaic flooring was used in both baths to tie them together.  The hall bath now boasts a marble countertop on its transitional vanity, along with new plumbing and lighting fixtures.

BEFORE:  The Master Bath was gutted down to the studs and a furred-out drywall box was removed to enlarge the shower area.
